Berens for Governor
#BratsNotBots2026
A Wisconsin-first campaign for the people who actually live here. The farmers. The fish-fry faithful. The Kohl's Cash holders.
About the Candidate
A Cheesehead Who Gets It
Charlie has never held public office. He considers this a qualification. But he knows the difference between a county board meeting and a comedy show, and he is increasingly convinced they are becoming the same thing.

Where We Stand
The Platform
Big Tech says move fast and break things. Charlie says measure twice, cut once.
No NDAs for AI Data Centers
NDAs are still permitted for fishing spots. I blame this on Larry.
End Tax Breaks for Big Tech
Begin tax breaks for Packers shareholders. Beers at Lambeau should be write offs.
Lobbying in Kohl's Cash Only
You want to buy political influence? Fine. But you can only do it in Kohl's Cash.
Expires April 15th. No exceptions.
Pay For Your Own Power
AI data centers and public utilities need to show the math and prove we aren't paying for their profit.
Mandatory Monthly Sheepshead
Democrats and Republicans must play Sheepshead together once a month.
Full Water Disclosure & Verification
Mandatory, public disclosure of every gallon of water used and every chemical involved, with independent third-party verification of disposal. We want our fish fry with a side of coleslaw, not cancer.
No Mass Surveillance of US Citizens
Data collected in Wisconsin must not be used to support mass surveillance of US citizens. The only mass surveillence we're interested in are trail cams during deer season.
Mandatory AI Kill Switch
You can't drink old fashioneds if you're dead.
Wisconsin First. Obviously.
From Kenosha to the Apostle Islands, this state and its people have always been worth fighting for. Also the cheese curds... especially the cheese curds.

Volunteer
Knock on doors, make calls, bring brats. Every hand helps, especially if it's holding a brat.
Donate
Kohl's cash and uncracked pull tabs welcome.
Spread the Word
Share on social. Use #BratsNotBots2026. Tell your neighbor at the fish fry.
Host an Event
Have a backyard and a grill? That's basically a campaign office in Wisconsin.
Our Destination
Madison has seen a lot of politicians walk through those doors. None of them did it in a camo duck jacket borrowed from their dad.
That changes in 2026.
April Fools!
Charlie Berens is not actually running for governor. But he is genuinely serious about his platform (especially the sheepshead part). And we think you should be too.
Hyperscale data centers are being proposed and built across Wisconsin right now, and most Wisconsinites have no idea what that means for their water, their electric bills, their privacy, and their communities.
And while Charlie isn't on any ballot, participating in elections (state, local, and national) is one of the most important things you can do for a healthy democracy. Make sure you're registered, know what's on your ballot, and know where to vote.
